Gideon Rubin, one of the most established Israeli artists internationally, deals with the subjects of memory, history and identity in his work; each painting is a fragment of a larger story, a moment in time. Occupying the space between figuration and abstraction, Rubin moves away from the specificities of a particular person, event or moment. His works were recently exhibited at Anat Ebgi Gallery, Maho Kubato, Galleria Monica De Cardenas, K11, and Galerie Karsten Greve.
